Robert Wheeler, 76, of Farmington, passed away at 12:28 AM on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria. He was born on March 12, 1945 in Peoria, a son of Charles and Goldie (Raymond) Wheeler. He married Nancy Jones on February 14, 1990 in Lewistown. She survives.
Also surviving are his children, Michelle (Kenny) Johnson of Trivoli; Cindy Copeland of Farmington; Debby Young of Yates City, Roy A. Wheeler of Farmington; Erin (Ethan) Wyse of Farmington; 29 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, and five brothers, Gale Wheeler of Canton, John Wheeler of Farmington, Richard Wheeler of Southern, Illinois, Lawrence Wheeler of Farmington, and Chuck Wheeler of Galesburg.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Betty Wheeler, two brothers, and two sisters.
He worked and retired from Kroger Food Stores as a meat cutter, retiring in 1989. Robert served his country in the United States Army, was a member of the Lutheran Faith, and member of the Farmington Moose Lodge.
