Cuba- Billie Dean Sours, 78, of rural Cuba, passed away at 8:50 PM Wednesday January 26, 2022 at his home.
He was born January 9, 1944 at Peoria, the son of Ira and Jessie (Bunch) Sours. He married Bonnie Hintz on July 28, 1968 at San Jose, IL. He later married Debra Cozart on September 6, 1996 at rural Cuba. She survives with four children, Michelle (Robert Henricks) Niederhauser of East Peoria, Bracale Flynn of Bloomington, Brian Sours of Pekin, and Carla (Brian) Wilson of Cuba, eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren, one brother, Clarence Sours of Spring Lake, four sisters, Betsy Carlton of California, Dorothy Farrah of Creve Coeur, Thelma Chaplin of Tennessee, and Betty (Joe) Smith of South Pekin. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and four sisters.
Billie retired in 1990 from Caterpillar Mapleton plant. He was a member of Ducks Unlimited, and the UAW. He enjoyed attending ABATE meat shoots, and also enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, woodworking, camping, and mushroom hunting. Most of all he loved spending time with his grand kids, and doing helpful things for other people.
Services will be held at 10:30 AM Monday January 31, 2022 at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery at Lewistown. Visitation will be held Sunday January 30, 2022 from 2-4 PM at the memorial home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude.
