Richard L. Sharpe

Richard L. Sharpe, 85, formerly of Canton, passed away on January 21, 2022 in Oklahoma City, OK. He was born on November 18, 1936 in Canton to Ray and Grace (Denney) Sharpe. Richard married Esther Ann Burnett in Canton on December 24, 1958. She preceded him in death on February 19, 2020. Also preceding him in death were his parents and one brother.

Surviving is his daughter, Cheryl Sharpe, and Cheryl's partner, Stuart Francis, of Norman, OK, and brother Basil "Bud" Sharpe of Satellite Beach, FL. Richard worked at International Harvester Company in Canton and East Moline as a computer programmer. His hobbies include gardening, the weather, traveling, and genealogy.
Services will be 1 pm Friday, February 4, 2022 at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home and Crematory in Canton. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice. To leave online condolences please visit www.oakshinesfuneralhome.com
