David P. Osborn

David P. Osborn, 72 of Monmouth, passed away at 1:11 pm Sunday February 15, 2026 at Renaissance Care Center in Canton.


He was born May 30, 1953 at Monmouth, the son of Glen and Elwilda (Morrell) Osborn. Surviving are two children, Mike (Jenny) Osborn of Lewistown, and Kim (D.J.) Damewood of Abingdon, four grandchildren, Leighton, Ella, Lucas, and Levi, and one brother, Mike (Wendy) Osborn of Severna Park, MD. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Bill Osborn.


David served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He worked as a mechanic and had served as the transportation director at United School District. He enjoyed fishing and motorcycles.

Dorothy I. Rusch

Dorothy I. Rusch, 92, of Trivoli, passed away at 7:54 AM on Saturday, February 14, 2026 at Farmington Village in Farmington. She was born on May 25, 1933 in Kickapoo Township, Peoria County, a daughter of Charles and Julia (Cox) Wagner. She married Earl Rusch on June 19, 1952 at St Paul Lutheran Church in Brimfield. He preceded her in death on January 24, 2004.


Also, preceding Dorothy in death were her parents, son Daniel Rusch, brother, William Wagner, sisters, Matilda Schulz, and Mary Dungan.


Surviving is her children, Irene (Michael) Endress of Monmouth; Debra (David) Losher of Rockford; John Rusch of Middlegrove; Katherine (Mark) Umholtz of Mapleton; nine grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren, and one on the way, and sister, Eileen Harding of Glen Carbon, Illinois.


Dorothy loved raising her children, and caring for their home in her earlier years, later in life, she worked for Trivoli Bank as a custodian & carrier for over 25 years. She was an avid gardener, and lifetime member of the St Paul Lutheran Church in Brimfield.


A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 19, 2026 at Anderson-Sedgwick Funeral Home in Farmington, where visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of the services. Pastor Michael Wagnitz will officiate. Burial will follow the services, and take place in Penn Ridge Cemetery in rural Trivoli. Elizabeth J. Price

Elizabeth J. Price, 78, of Boulder, CO. formerly of Astoria, IL. passed away at 10 pm on Friday February 6, 2026 at Morning Star Assisted Living facility in Boulder, CO. She was born on November 18, 1947 in Colorado Springs, CO, the daughter of Harvey and Kathryn (Silsby) Johnson. She married Rodney Price on October 19, 1974 in Champaign, IL. Rod and both of her parents preceded her in death.


Surviving are her two children, Brian (Jennifer) Price of Morton, IL, Alison (Steve) Gold of Boulder, CO, four grandchildren, Jasa Price, Carson Price, Olivia Gold, and Reese Gold, one sister Carol (Don) Bolish of Oxnard, CA., one brother Chuck (Gigi) Johnson of Champaign, IL. a sister-in-law Rhonda (Mike) Barfield of St. Charles, Mo. Along with several nieces and nephews.

Beth was a graduate of Western Illinois University, earning a Bachelors Degree in Education. She and Rod were third generation owners of Price Oil Company in Astoria for over 30 years. She also worked at Astoria High School for 10 years.

Beth was an active member in several area churches, with her most recent membership at Grace Church in Morton, IL. Beth enjoyed sewing, scrapbooking, helping with the Girl Scouts as a leader, and was an avid reader. She expressed her love of reading by volunteering at the Astoria Public Library for several years. Her most treasured memories involved spending time with her family especially her four grandchildren and the love of her life, Rod. Together they were always by each other’s side for over 49 years of love and marriage.

A visitation will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, February 28, 2026 with a memorial service to follow at 3:00 pm. Both will be held at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria. Pastor Ray Artrip will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Astoria Public Library or The Shelf Food Pantry in Astoria.

Editha Diane Wells

Editha Diane Wells, 70, of Canton, passed away on February 15, 2026 at her residence. She was born on June 2, 1955 in Canton to Lloyd W. and Kathryn (Hughes) Moore. Editha married Bobby Wells on December 20, 1986 in Canton, he preceded her in death on October 22, 2021. Also preceding her in death were her parents.

Editha worked for several years as a CNA.

Susan L. Sartin

Susan L. Sartin, 72, of Yates City, passed away at 11:26 p.m., on February 13, 2026, at OSF Saint Francis Hospital in Peoria, IL, surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 23, 1953, in Peoria, to George and Virginia (Ireton) Ennis.

Susan married Steven Sartin on December 23, 1970, at the Elmwood United Methodist Church. He survives.

Susan is also survived by two children, Chris (Stephanie) Sartin of Colorado Springs, CO, and Jill (James “Jimmy”) Walker of Oneida, IL; one brother, Larry (Heidi) Ennis; five sisters, Diana Ladd, Barbara (Dave) Duryea, Mary (Ira) Waldschmidt, Becky Ennis, and Ruth Arnold; six grandchildren, Ashleigh (Michael) Fross, Todd (Jenna) Walker, Madison Walker, Katie Sartin, Kacey Sartin, and Kenzie Sartin; one great-grandchild, Saylor; many nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

Susan is preceded in death by her parents; one infant son; and one grandson, Jacob Walker.

Susan was an LPN and a Medical Coder for many years. She was also a member of the Elmwood United Methodist Church. Most importantly she loved spending time with her family and attending all of their sporting events.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Elmwood. A visitation will be held the same day one hour prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., at the funeral home. Burial will immediately follow at Elmwood Township Cemetery. Food and fellowship will then be held at the Yates City Community Center.

Jane Vahle

Jane Vahle, 69, of St. David, passed away at 10:25 AM on Friday, February 13, 2026 at Carle Health Methodist Hospital in Peoria, IL. She was born on January 16, 1957 in Canton, IL, to Richard and Catherine (Bouc) Casper. She married Marty Vahle on May 10, 1975 in Canton, IL. He survives.


She is also survived by her two children, Joshua and Brooke Vahle; one granddaughter, Lillie Vahle; two brothers, Steve (Jill) Casper and Richard “Dickie” (Dianna) Casper; one sister, Kathy (Roy) Topp; Chris, Carla, Jeremy, Crystal, William, Doug, Korin, Tiffany, Larry, Rebecca and Ashley; Sister-in-law, Valerie (Brian) Putman, and many other nieces and nephews.


She is preceded in death by her parents; grandparents, Dorothy (Dawson) Casper and Patricia (George) Bouc; Mother and Father-in-law, Bill (Louise) Vahle; and brother-in-law, Dennis Vahle. 


Jane loved doing crafts with her dad, Lillie, and Brooke. She also loved cooking with Lillie. She enjoyed bird watching and taking care of her flowers in the summer.


Jane touched the lives of everyone who had the honor of knowing her. Her selflessness, warmth, and generous spirit will be remembered forever. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and compassion that lives on in all of us.


Funeral service will be held at 12 PM on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory in Canton, IL. Shirley A. Graham

Shirley A. Graham, 89, of Cuba, passed away on February 15, 2026 at the Clayberg Nursing Home in Cuba. She was born on June 30, 1936 in Marrietta, IL. to William and Vada (Postin) Havens.

Surviving is five children; Bob (Debbie) Buck of Vermont, Jim (Debbie) Buck of Maquon, Bill (Terisa) Buck of Seville, Joanne (Scott) Rupe of Canton and Penny Buck of Macomb, one brother Ronnie Havens of Tennessee, IL, one sister Bertie Winters of Canistota, NY, thirteen grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and six sisters.

She worked as a cook at various local restaurants and later worked as a care giver.

Sharon K. Shanklin

Sharon K. Shanklin, 79, of Canton, IL, passed away at 9:15 a.m., on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at Sunset Manor in Canton.

Sharon was born January 11, 1947, in Elmwood, to Vernon Hogue and Gladys (Slane) Matthew.

Sharon is survived by two children, Angie Welker of Yates City and Roxann Snyder of Canton; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Sharon is preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Bud Bennett; her second husband, Leonard Shanklin; one daughter, Laura Hughes; and three brothers, Bob Hogue, Roy Hogue, and Don Hogue.

Sharon was a Cashier at Long John Silver’s in Pekin for over 25 years.

A visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Elmwood.

Cremation rites will then be accorded.

Roxanne Eckman

Roxanne Eckman, 73, of Farmington, passed away, Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at her home.

She was born in Elmhurst Illinois, on March 22, 1952, to Ralph Martin and Leona Marie (Van Garsse) Felbinger. They preceded her in death.

She married Duane Ray Eckman on August 10, 2001, and he survives as well as her son Marc Carmello Morales, two grandchildren, Megan and Micheal Morales, and seven Great grandchildren.

Roxanne worked as a Certified Nurses Assistant, tended bar, and volunteered at the Humane Society of Fulton County. Roxanne enjoyed all the dogs, cats and outside animals she had over the years.

Kim A. Crnkovich

Kim A. Crnkovich, 74, of Canton, passed away on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at his residence.


He was born on May 29, 1951, in Canton to Paul and Darlene (Behymer) Crnkovich. They preceded him in death, as did his former wife, Karen Harris, one grandchild, Mason Crnkovich and one nephew, Johnny Barker.


Surviving are his children, Karlee Crnkovich of Canton and Kolin (Katy) Crnkovich of Canton; one sister, Jan Wys of Canton; and his grandchildren, Mackenzie, Phoenix, Eden, Lyla, and Drew and one niece, Kara Pigg.


Kim worked as a welder at International Harvester in Canton, later at Butler Manufacturing in Galesburg, and retired from ALCOA in the Quad Cities. He was an avid outdoorsman who spent much of his time on his property west of town hunting, fishing, trapping and shooting guns. One of his hobbies was loading his own ammo. He also enjoyed riding his Harleys and restoring old muscle cars.


Most of all, Kim was a devoted father and grandfather who treasured the time he spent with his family.

Robert Warner Null

Robert Warner “Bob” Null, 93, of Manito, formerly of Forest City, passed away at the Lodge, in Manito, at 7:40 a.m., on Tuesday, February 10, 2026. He was born September 11, 1932, in Browning, Illinois, to John Robert and Nina Enida (Warner) Null. He married Eleanor Sinclair in 1952. He later married Gwen Canopy on March 6, 1961, in Delavan. She preceded him in death on July 16, 2000.

Mr. Null is survived by two daughters: Jeanette (Lyle) Gallagher, of Phoenix, Arizona, and Billie Jo (Dale) Swearingen, of Mapleton, Illinois; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-granddaugter. Also surviving are two step-children: Mary (Rick) Huse of South Pekin, Illinois, and Susan (Scott) Bickley, of Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Gwen, and stepson Tomas Canopy.
Mr. Null served in the US Air Force from 1950 – 1953, and was a veteran of the Korean War. He farmed in the Forest City area his entire working life, retiring in 2001. He was a member of the Forest City Community Church. He was a member of Hill-Palmer American Legion Post, in Manito, Forest City-Manito Rotary Club, Forest City Township Board, Forman Fire Department, and Mason County Extension Service Board. He also, along with Gwen, were 4-H leaders for the Happy Hustlers 4-H Club. Bob was a light in everyone’s eyes. He will be deeply missed. The family would like to thank The Lodge in Manito, Manito Medical Associates,Gentiva Hospice, Springfield and Heidi Jo Kemper for all their love and care.
Funeral services will be held at Maas-Hurley Funeral Home, in Manito, on Saturday, February 14, 2026 at 11:00 a.m., with visitation one hour prior to the services. Rev. Scott Nichols will officiate. Burial will follow the services at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, near Forest City.

Dorothy Jean Chenoweth

Dorothy Jean Chenoweth, 98, of Canton, passed peacefully on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at her home in Canton.

She was born on July 16, 1927, in Smithfield Illinois, to Earl and Mary (Emery) Watson. She married Harold Lee Chenoweth on May 30, 1945 in Keokuk Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Mary Ellen Hukill, Husband and brother Richard Watson.

Surviving is one son, Dennis (Chris) Chenoweth of Bloomington, two grandchildren, Kevin (Jean) Hukill of Canton, and Keith (Kasie) Chenoweth of Minier, two step grandchildren, Molly (Marc) Malinowski of Orland Park and Sean (Amanda) Goben of Downs, two great granddaughters, Khloe and Kylie Chenoweth of Minier and four step great grandchildren, Benjamin and Amelia Malinowski of Orland Park and Zoey and Cameron Goben of Downs.

Dorothy was a long-standing member of Wesley United Methodist Church. She had been a previous member of the Sweet Adelines, Canton Women’s Club and the Fulton County Democrats.

She loved spending time with her family and friends. It was a long standing tradition to celebrate birthdays with home churned ice cream and cake. Many family vacations were spent boating and fishing in Wisconsin and Minnesota as well as traveling out west in Colorado mountains.

A funeral service will be held at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will immediately follow the funeral service at White Chapel memory Gardens in Canton.
