David L. Anderson, Jr

David “Doubletapp” Louis Anderson Jr, 42, of Canton, passed away on Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on October 16, 1982 in Peoria.

He is survived by his father David L. (Gwen) Anderson Sr of Farmington and mother, Marilyn (Phil) Ward of Canton.

He married Katie Howard on February 26, 2003 in Lewistown. She also survives along with two children, Landis Anderson, Ashtin (Abigail Black) Anderson, one brother, Michael (Samantha Rauch) Anderson of Canton, three step brothers, Phillip Ward of Canton, Timothy (Brandi Betson) Ward of St David, Dustin (Andrea) Ward of Canton, two sisters, Tracy (Tyler Bonney) Anderson of Abingdon, Karlie (Devon) Johnston of Farmington, three step sisters, April (Jeremy) Coon of Farmington, Miranda (Brian) Walters of Lewistown, Angela (Joe) Concha of Chicago one grandchild, David Joseph Louis Anderson, paternal grandmother, Louise Sayre of FL, maternal step grandmother, Donna Morrill of Havana, mother and father in laws, Rod and Sandy Howard of Canton, Sisters in law, Sheron (Liz Sadler) Howard of S.C., Amanda (Jason) Howard Stewart of Canton and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Geno Sayre and maternal grandparents, James and Mildred Coon.

David worked as a licensed CDL truck driver and as a flooring installer. He enjoyed catfishing and ball card collecting. He had a passion for football and played semi pro football. Most of all he loved spending time with his family having cookouts and attending his son’s wrestling events. He was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Jeff Gordon.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 8, 2025, at 11 am, at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton where a visitation will be held one hour prior.

Burial will follow at the Greenwood Cemetery.
