Patricia "Patty" Audrey Weaver

Patricia “Patty” Audrey Weaver, 81, of Maples Mills, Rural Fulton County died peacefully in her sleep, at her residence on October 11, 2022. She was born February 3, 1941 to Lloyd and Mildred LaVern (Clark) Black and married Eddie K. “Ed” Weaver in 1960.


He survives, along with four children, Chris of Louisville Kentucky, Randy (Pam) of Dubuque Iowa, Karla Leffler Canton IL, Lance (Cheryl) of San Ramon, California. She had 5 Grandchildren: Krista (Nick) Smith, Abby (Matt) Tomlianovich, Emy Leffler, Grady and Chase Weaver. 5 Great-Grandchildren: Smith and Mills Tomlianovich and Andy, Graham and Kate Weaver, and two sisters,Rose Markello and Janet Hogan of Canton, IL.


She was preceded in death, by her parents, and two sisters, Ellen Maranville and Betty Henry.


She worked as a beautician for 62 years before retirement, serving as the President and Board Member of the American Beauty Association for many years.


Her life reflecting her deep faith, Patty was active on various mission/church boards and committees and, especially, enjoyed being an evangelist for her Lord. She served as

Superintendent, at the Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church of Lewistown, on the Evangilistic Team, at the First Baptist Church of Pekin, IL and mission committee at the Evangelical Free Church of Canton, IL. and made several evangelistic mission trips to Kimberlea, Nova Scotia with her beloved husband.


She was a mentor and source of wisdom to her family and many others in the community. She was loved, and will be deeply missed by those who had the privilege of sharing her life.


Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM on Thursday, October 20, 2022 at Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory in Canton, IL. Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 21, 2022 at Evangelical Free Church in Canton, IL with a visitation an hour prior. Pastor Matt Spangler will officiate. Burial will follow services at Apple Cemetery in rural Lewistown, IL. Memorials may be made to the Evangelical Free Church Building Fund.
