Sean R. Horwedel

Sean R. Horwedel, age 43 of Oklahoma City, OK passed away at his residence on December 7, 2021. He was born on August 15, 1978 in Macomb, IL, the son of Craig and Diana (Baker) Horwedel. He married Amber Fiddler on August 4, 2019 in Oklahoma City. She survives.


Also surviving are his parents of Florida, his children Elysia Ayala, William and Katelynn Burleson and grandson Rowen Ayala, all of Oklahoma City, Grandmothers Shirley Horwedel of Vermont, IL and Barbara Baker of Table Grove, IL, brothers Shane (and Tiffany Oney) Horwedel of Houston, TX and Shael (and Jacklyn) Horwedel of Palm Coast, FL, nephew Gunner Horwedel and three nieces Layla, Skylar and River Horwedel.

Sean was preceded in death by his grandfathers George Horwedel and Eldon Baker.

He was a graduate of Evergreen High School in 1996.

Sean's favorite job was at the Kettle Falls Hotel on Rainy Lake, Minnesota, where he worked and fished (emphasis on fishing).

He made many friends along the way who will all remember him for his competitive spirit and big smile. Sean was a big part of the Horwedel family fishing trips and Fantasy Football league his entire life. He made his presence known and his absence will surely be missed by all of us.

During his life, he lived in Illinois, Colorado, California, Pennsylvania and Oklahoma. He was loved and will be missed by everyone that knew him. This was a testament to his quality of character and individual that he was. He will be missed, but never forgotten. He loved intensely and lived life to the fullest.

Visitation will be held from 2-3 pm Monday, December 13th at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with a service to follow at 3:00 pm. Pastor Cody Stinnett will officiate. Cremation rites will be accorded following the services.
