Daniel T. Grillot

Canton - Daniel T. Grillot, 63, of Canton, passed away, Tuesday, December 27, 2021, at Graham Hospital in Canton. He was born on November 20, 1958, in Piqua, Ohio, to Forrest and Dorothy (Wehrman) Grillot. They preceded him in death along with one brother, Jerry (Peggy) Grillot.

He is survived by his wife Miseon Grillot, whom he married on September 9, 1983, in Pleasant Valley, Iowa.
Also surviving are his two children, Josh (Alysen) Grillot of Des Moines, Iowa, and Melissa (Daniel) Dintaman of St. Louis, Missouri, one grandson, Remy Grillot, two brothers, Ed (Chris) Grillot and John (Kay) Grillot, and two sisters, Pat Grillot and Teresa (Harry Jr) Hixson.
Dan was a Veteran of the United States Air Force. He served during Desert Shield. He retired from the Air Force in 1994 after 16 years of service. He later worked and retired from Caterpillar in East Peoria in 2019. Dan and his wife also raised produce, honeybees and flowers and sold them at the Peoria Riverfront Farmer's Market for over 10 years. He enjoyed bee keeping, deer hunting, fishing and watching wildlife around his home. He also enjoyed working with his dogs over the years.
Memorials may be made to White Chapel Methodist Church.
Due to COVID-19 precautions a family memorial service will be held at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton. Cremation rites will be accorded, and a burial of his ashes with military honors will be held at Rock Island National Cemetery in Rock Island, Illinois at a later date.
