Sarah Cook, 48, of La Fayette, formerly of Canton, passed away at 3:30 AM on Friday, October 9, 2020 at her residence. She was born on May 12, 1972 in Canton, IL to Charles and Helen (Bartlett) Smith. She married Larry Cook on August 27, 1998 in Canton, IL. He survives.
Also surviving is her mother, Helen Smith; two children, Chris Cook of Spring Valley, IL and Stephanie Cook of La Fayette, IL; four grandchildren, Yori, Drake, Caleb, and Charlie; three sisters, Diane Gilham of Fiatt, IL, Carolyn Pugh of AZ, and Ann Allard of Fiatt, IL; and her mother-in-law, Connie Rainey.
Sarah was preceded in death by her father; one son, Ryan Cook; two brothers, Charlie Smith and Andrew Fouts; and two sisters, Phyllis and Teresa.
Sarah worked as an assistant manager at Dollar General in Galva, IL. She loved gardening, stamps, and any paranormal group especially ghosthunters.
