Ruby T. McCoy, 91, of Macomb, formerly of Cuba, passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at the Elm Nursing Home in Macomb. She was born on October 21, 1928 in Cuba to William “Bill” and Maude Marie (Henderson) Taylor. Ruby married Carl McCoy. He preceded her in death along with three children Scott McCoy, Marsha Beaird and Linda Ward and also nine siblings.
Surviving are two children Doretta (Bill) Goddard of Macomb and Anita (Gerald”Esco”) Catt of Hopedale, eight grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
Ruby retired from K-Mart in Macomb. She also worked as a waitress and beautician. She was a member of Cuba Christian Church.
Cremation rites have been accorded and a burial of ashes will take place in Sinnett Chapel at a later date. Oaks-Hines Funeral Home and Crematory are in charge of arrangements. Memorials can be made to American Cancer Society. To make online condolences please visit www.oakshinesfuneralhome.com
