Charles Kruzan


Lewistown – Charles R. “Chuck” Kruzan Jr, 75, passed away on Monday, May 24, 2020 at the OSF St Francis Hospital in Peoria.

He was born on November 11, 1944 in Canton to Charles R and Merle (Demery) Kruzan Sr.  They preceded him in death.

He married Kathy Harn on November 18, 1978 in Lewistown.  She survives.

Also surviving are his children, Charles (Sara) Kruzan III of Pennsylvania, Jack (Alice) Engle of Springfield, IL, Monte Kruzan of Macomb, IL, Stephanie (Russell) Ruey of Canton, one brother, Gary Kruzan of Canton, one sister, Linda Dunn of St David, thirteen grandchildren, one step grandchild, five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Also preceding him in death are two sisters, Roberta Roberts and one infant Ann Kruzan.

Chuck worked as the project manager for HyVee construction for several years.  He was a member of the Farmington Moose Lodge, Faith Christian Family Church and the Coachmen Car Club.  He was an avid Cubs fan and enjoyed traveling with Kathy and wintering in Florida.  He also enjoyed music and movies.

A private graveside service will be held on Friday at the Wiley Cemetery in rural Ellisville with a Facebook live stream starting at 11am.  His brother Rev. Gary Kruzan will officiate.

Oaks-Hines Funeral Home and Crematory in Canton has been entrusted with services.

Memorials can be made to the Faith Christian Family Church.
