Tyler Edward Allen Crotzer


Carbondale – Tyler Edward Allen Crotzer, 26, of Carbondale, formerly of Canton, passed away Friday, February 28, 2020 in Carbondale.

He was born on September 8, 1993, to Allen and Marsha (Graham) Crotzer.

Surviving are his parents, love of his life Bailey Sintow, paternal grandmother, Phyllis Crotzer, maternal grandmother Patricia Sandford, one brother Seth Murphy, three sisters, Bobbi Sue (Jack Ball) Yurkovich, Patti (Jason) Martin, and Carrie (John) Meyers, several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Preceding him in death are paternal grandfather, Robert Crotzer, maternal grandfathers, Marshall Graham and Bob Sandford, and one sister Faith Crotzer.

Tyler graduated from Canton High School in 2012 where he excelled in athletics and academics. He went to Spoon River College and later graduated from SIU in 2018 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. Tyler’s passion was writing. He enjoyed skateboarding, cooking, hiking, reading, his pets Ollie and Aura, and spending time with Bailey, family and friends. He was a bright light in this world that impacted so many lives. He will be greatly missed.

Cremation rites have been accorded a memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton at 11:00 a.m. Following the services a celebration of life will be held starting at 1:00 p.m. at Higgins Field on Broadway Street in Lewistown.
