Donald N. Grubor


Lewistown- Donald N. Grubor, 83, of Lewistown passed away at 5:00 PM, Friday, January 3, 2020 in Mason District Hospital, Havana with loved ones by his side.

He was born May 20, 1936 in Canton the son of Nick and Josephine (Braden) Grubor. He married Leta Easley on April 20, 1958 in Lewistown. He is survived by his wife, his daughter Donna Jo (Leon) Bowling, 29 Palms, CA, daughter-in-law, Mary Hadsall-Grubor, Lewistown, three grandchildren, Kenna (Nathan Woodruff) Robinson, Cuba, Kevin (Liz) Williams, US Navy, Norfolk, VA, Nick (Melody Ward) Williams, Ames, IA, four great grandchildren, Hunter & Bryson Woodruff, Cuba and James & Christopher Williams, New York, five step great-grandsons, two step great-granddaughters, one step-great-great granddaughter and his companion Cocoa.

He served in the US Navy Seabees in U.S., North Africa and Operation Deep Freeze in Antarctica. He was a member of the Lewistown American Legion Bishop Post 1. He worked as a press operator for Havana Shopper & Mason County Democrat for both Martins, Robert Sr. and Robert Jr. He retired in 1990 as water superintendent for Lewistown. Following retirement he enjoyed spending time with Sheldon Burget and Phil Lightle while they were erecting wireless internet towers for S&B Technology/CANI2. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday January 8th at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown with Reverend Shane Smith officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery at Lewistown with military services conducted by the Lewistown VFW Post 5001 and the Lewistown American Legion Bishop Post 1. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the memorial home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lewistown Fire & Rescue or Lewistown United Methodist Church.
