Anthony C. Franciskovich

Anthony (Tony, Tony Chuck, Chuckie) Franciskovich, age 72, passed away at Graham Hospital on May 28th, 2017. He always boasted of his Texas roots, being born August 29th,1944 to Anthony and Irma (Powell) Franciskovich in Temple, Texas.  He attended St. Mary’s Catholic School and then graduated from Canton High School in 1963.  Tony enlisted in the Navy (“the canoe club”) from 1965 to 1969, and was stationed on the USS Barney and the USS William H. Standley.  He was a great “telephone man” and retired from Ameritech in 1999.
Tony leaves behind his three brothers, Steven, Phillip (Susan) and Rod (Laura) Franciskovich.  He was a second father to his beloved nieces, Nicole (Jeff) Sandberg and Sam (Alan) Franciskovich and the “greatest” uncle to his great niece and nephew Audrey and Will Sandberg.  Also surviving are nephews Nikolas (Alissa) Franciskovich and Casey Franciskovich, and great nephew and niece, Jack and Juniper Franciskovich.  Always ready with a joke or a smart alec comment, Tony will be truly missed by us all.
Graveside services and burial will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Canton. Fr. Daniel R. Ebker will officiate.
