Trivoli – Carol A. Morby, 66, of Trivoli, formally of Chicago, passed away at 11:30 PM on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at her residence. She was born on January 22, 1950 in Canton to Clyde and Hazel (Giffhorn) Morby.
Surviving is her mother, Hazel Morby, her brother, Allan (Maribeth) Morby of Chicago, and one nephew, Jason Morby of Chicago.
Preceded in death by her father.
Carol graduated from Farmington High School and then moved on to Western Illinois University where she received a Bachelor’s Degree. She recently retired from S&C Electric Company where she worked in the purchasing department. She was a member of Farmington United Methodist Church, American Legion Post 140 Auxiliary, and was a longtime member of Evanston Bike Club. Carol loved history and genealogy.
Services will be at 11 AM on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at Anderson-Sedgwick Funeral Home in Farmington, IL, where a visitation will be from 10-11 AM. Rev. Gary Schmidt will officiate. Burial will be at Penn Ridge Cemetery in Rural Trivoli, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Chicago History Museum, 1601 N Clark St., Chicago, IL 60614.
