William “Bill” E. Andrews

William “Bill” E. Andrews, 86, of Elmwood, passed away at 6:57 a.m., on Friday, May 16, 2025, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Bill was born May 2, 1939, in Peoria, to Walter and Pearl (Clinch) Andrews.

Bill is survived by one son, Rodney (Michelle) Andrews of Elmwood; two grandchildren, Nicole (Travis) Andrews and Jessica (Justin) Ralston; and four great-grandchildren, Kouper, Julianna, Chase, and Jensen.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents.

Bill served in the Air Force for four years and was honorably discharged in 1963. Bill then went on to truck driving for over 40 years and retired from Praxair. He also volunteered on the Elmwood Fire Department from 1965 to 2005. Bill had the honor of serving as Fire Chief from 1973 to 1998.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Elmwood.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Elmwood Fire Department.
