Clarence "Bud" B. Kellstadt

Clarence Bernard “Bud” Kellstadt, 81, residing at Apostolic Christian Skylines, formerly of Farmington IL, passed away at 7:02 p.m., Sunday May 18, 2025 at OSF Hospital in Peoria, IL.

Bud was born on January 20, 1944, in Peoria to Clarence and Mildred (German) Kellstadt.

Farming was Bud’s life. He was passionate about it, living on and working his family farm since he was a child. He had a love of animals and enjoyed taking care of them, including his many cats, dogs, chickens, cows, and sheep. He also enjoyed when his siblings and nieces/nephews would visit him, whether to talk, work or explore. In the rare moment that he wasn’t tending to animals and doing farm work, you would find him watching old westerns and wrestling.

Bud is survived by his sisters, Paula (Bill) McCoy of Chillicothe IL and Bernice Peters of East Peoria IL, his nieces/nephews Julie (Mike) Howard, Billy (Amber) McCoy, Brian (Courtney) McCoy, Carrie (Luke) Wojton, and several great nieces/nephews Keegan, Kamora, Mason, Dylan, William, Jack, Max, Myla.

Preceding him in peace were his parents and nephew Ben Peters.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Chuck & Steve Kellstadt (and other extended family) for all their farm assistance, especially the last few years, and to longtime friend and neighbor Lonnie Ray and the Gomez family.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Elmwood. A visitation will be held the same day prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will immediately follow the service at Brimfield Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to AC Skylines.
