Leroy Gray Jr.

Canton- Leroy Gray Jr., 78, of Canton, passed away at 12:48 PM on Thursday, May 15, 2025 at Carle Health Methodist Hospital in Peoria. He was born on August 31, 1946 in Canton, a son of Leroy and Clara (Wilcoxen) Gray Sr. He married Ollie Thompson on March 4, 1970 in Canton. She survives.

Also, surviving are his children Julie Gray; Stacey (Mike Davidson) Gray; Jimmy Gray, all of Canton; Shane (Sherry) Gray of Lewistown; six grandchildren, Michael Gray, Issiah Tenarvitz, Jasmine Purtle, Dominque Bowton, Hunter Purtle, Matthew Morse; brother, John (Janet) Gray of Canton, and sister, Nancy Gray of Canton.

Preceding Leroy in death were his parents; two sisters, Charlotte, and Ruth Ann. 

He worked as a Certified Nurse Aid for many years, retiring in 2008. He was of the Baptist faith, and an avid fisherman.
