Joey was a beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew, grandson and friend. He was known for his sense of humor, engaging spirit and the fact that he never met a stranger. He was deeply loved by his large family including his parents, Margaret “Peggy” and David Rose, siblings Nicole (Craig) Overcash, Justin (Jessica) Rose, Eric (Rachel) Rose, Heidi Rose, Anne (Colby) Freier, Mary (Bryer) Anderson and Matt (fiancé – Katie) Rose and nieces and nephews (Lydia, Addy, Quintin, Sadie, Millie, Bennett, Vivianne, Everett and Lyndi).
Joey worked as a Senior Field Claims Specialist at American National Insurance, traveling nation-wide. He enjoyed golfing, football, playing bags, cycling, attending sporting events of nieces and nephews, following sports, karaoke, crab legs and steak dinners, anything related to the Iowa Hawkeyes, Caitlin Clark and spending time with friends and family.
Joey is survived by his parents, siblings, nieces and nephews and numerous other relatives and friends.

To know Joey was to love him – lovingly referred to as “Joker”. He had a spirit that lit up every room – truly the life of the party, with a laugh that was contagious. Joey was always ready for a good time, with a “latte” in his hand. Whether it was cracking jokes or teasing his friends and family, it was hard not to smile and laugh in his presence. Always the antagonist, Joey followed sports teams to the contrary of his family – St. Louis Cardinals and L.A. Rams. He doted on his nieces and nephews and had special bonds with many. His joy, loyalty and warmth will be remembered always.
