Peggy is survived by her daughters, Sarah Lane-Mitchell of Havana and Yvonne Long of Peoria; son, Charles Lane, Jr. of Springfield; 8 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Vickie (Eric) Walston of Athens, Jim (Andrea) France of Astoria, and Lori (Randy) Hammond of Bath. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Peggy was a member of the VFW Auxiliary. She enjoyed fishing, going out to eat, and feeding birds. She was a natural caregiver and loved making people happy. She especially loved family gatherings and going to the beach.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Hurley Funeral Home in Havana, with a visitation one hour prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Rev. Dick Meehan will officiate. Burial will follow the service at Bath Cemetery.
