Stanley Richard Turbett

Stanley Richard Turbett, 80, of Hanna City, passed away at 1:55 AM on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at his residence. He was born on July 9, 1944 in Peoria, a son of Stoy and Audrey (Kepler) Turbett. He married Carolyn Bliss on January 27, 1968 in Peoria. She survives.

Also, surviving are his children, Carrie (Dave) Drake of Glasford; Matthew (Riquel Hawkins) Turbett of Peoria; Amy (Gregory) VanAusdall of Florida; fifteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, and a brother, Timothy (Jeanne) Turbett of Bloomington.

Preceding, Stanley in death were his parents, a son, Michael Turbett, and brother, Steven Turbett.

Stanley worked and retired after 24 years of service, from the United States Air Force, retiring as a Master Sargent. He was a member of Hanna City Presbyterian Church, and enjoyed woodworking, mowing, and mechanical repair.

A celebration of life gathering will be held at a later date, cremation rites will be accorded through Anderson-Sedgwick Funeral Home in Farmington.
