Lanny D. Williams

Lanny D. Williams, known to many as Cowboy, 66, of Iowa City, IA passed away at 9:25 am, January 19, 2024 at his residence. He was born on March 10, 1957 in Canton to Leroy and Coralie (Willson) Williams. They preceded him in death along with his step father Richard Harkness, two brothers; Danny Williams and Joey Williams and brother in law Harry Rumler.

Surviving are three siblings; Lori Rumler of Canton, Terry Williams of Canton and Shawn Harkness of Huntington, IN along with several nieces and nephews whom he thought the world of and their families.

Lanny had worked for Burlington Northern Railroad in Galesburg. He was a very active member of A.A. and N.A. Lanny was known early on as well as his later years to be the life of the party. Lanny was a simple man with a distinct voice and ornery laugh you would never forget once you heard it.
