Darrel Dwayne Green

Canton- Darrel Dwayne Green, 71, of Canton, passed away at 1:03 PM on Thursday, January 18, 2024 at OSF Saint Francis in Peoria, IL. He was born on August 30, 1952; a son of Earl and Juanita (Kitchen) Green. He was also a descendant of Patrick Green. He married Barbara Keime on July 11, 1987, at the Halford's Gun Club in Canton, IL. She survives.

Also surviving Darrel is his only son, Kyle D. Green; his beloved grandpup, Dux; several nieces and nephews; one sister, Shirley Parker.

Preceding him in death were both of his parents; one sister, Barbara Morgan, and two Brother-in-Laws, Tom Morgan and Tom Parker.

Darrel worked for Caterpillar Inc. He retired from there in May of 2001, after 34 years of service, Darrel also worked for Kroger's. He retired in 2009, after 6 years of service. He had many interests, one of the few includes riding Harley-Davison Motorcycles. Darrel also raised Horses for races, and even competed in Barrel Racing himself. He will be missed.

Memorial service will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory in Canton, IL. Visitation will be held the same day from 11:00 AM until time of service. Lunch will be provided following the service at the Canton VFW. Cremation rites will be accorded through Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory in Canton, IL.
