He was born June 23, 1953, to Harold and Marjorie (Hieronymous) Beeney in Peoria. He married Nancy Lewis on September 14, 1974, in Hanna City. She survives.
Ernest is also survived by five children, Christina (Chad) Pyatt of Trivoli, IL, Jill (Chris) Howard of Elmwood, IL, Jacob Beeney of Trivoli, IL, Michael Beeney Ridgecrest, CA, and Nicholas Beeney of Trivoli, IL; two brothers, Dave (Sharon) Beeney and John Beeney; four sisters, Sue (Jim) Short, Marge (Bill) Hanlin, Dodie (Bernie) Burns, and Jane (Dan) Parrish; five grandchildren, Alysha, Jenna, Lacie, Ryan, and Chloe; and four step-grandchildren, Payton, Madi, Ryan, and Logan.
He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Dick (Debbie) Beeney and Tom (Donna) Beeney; and one sister, Nancy Beeney.
Ernest enjoyed fishing, boating, coaching Little League, hunting, and especially spending time with his family outdoors.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Sunday, January 14, 2024, at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Elmwood. Burial will be at 1:00 p.m., on Monday, January 15, 2024, at Parkview Cemetery in Peoria, IL. There will be no visitation.
