Charlotte Ann Stambaugh

Charlotte Ann Stambaugh, 88, of Canton, passed away, Thursday, December 28, 2023, at Graham Hospital in Canton. She was born in Canton on August 6, 1935, to Wilbur and Rebecca Mable (Lingenfelter) Raker. They preceded her in death along with two sisters, Melba Darlene Yerbic, and Lois Lorraine Mace. She married Dwain Stambaugh on October 31, 1953. He preceded her in death in August of 2007. Surviving are her three children, Richard Stambaugh, Sara Stambaugh, and Connie Vahle, five grandchildren, Layne Stambaugh, Myles Stambaugh, Nichole Lowder, Rebecca (Lucas) Dunlap, and Ashley Vahle, eight great grandchildren, Matthew, Makayla, Meadow, Jude, Harper, Jackson, Auston, and Emily, and two great great grandchildren, Hazel and Liam. Charlotte is a graduate of Canton High School with the class of 1954. She was an active member of the Canton First Baptist Church. Charlotte always took care of her children and grandchildren, and she enjoyed whenever any of them would stop by her home to visit. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services. Burial will immediately follow at White Chapel Memory Gardens in Canton. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church.
