Robert Heppenstall

Robert Heppenstall, 91, of Peoria, formerly of Canton, passed away at 10:28 pm, June 28, 2023 at Proctor Hospital in Peoria. He was born on January 19, 1932 in Canton to Clarence and Mildred Heppenstall. Bob married Ann Klingman on August 16, 1958 in Canton. She preceded him in death on April 28, 2007. Also preceding him in death were his parents and two sisters; Normalee Rediger and Betty Perrios.

Surviving are three children; Tom Heppenstall of Oberland, MO, Sally (Allen) Burns of Holland, MI and Susan (Ron) Murphy of San Marcos, CA and four grandchildren; Melissa, Allyson, Mariah and Kelly.

Bob was a veteran, serving in the Air Force. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Canton and a member of the Canton Rotary.

Cremation rites have been accorded and a burial of ashes will take place in White Chapel Memory Gardens at a later date. Memorials can be made to the Fulton County Humane Society.
