Lila L. Garzee

Lila L. Garzee, 72, of Canton, passed away at 10:37 AM on Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL. She was born on June 6, 1951 in Canton, IL to Leonard “Louie” and JoAnn (Schindler) Whiteman. She married Claude E. Garzee Sr. on June 29, 1967 in Palmyra, MO. He preceded her in death on November 11, 2016.

She is also preceded in death by her father, two grandsons, Jacob and Shawn Garzee, one half-brother, Charles Whiteman; and one nephew, Shawn Whiteman.

Lila is survived by her mother, two sons, Claude Garzee Jr. of Canton, IL and Jason (Tammie Brewer) Garzee of Prairie City, IL; five grandchildren, Brinley Garzee, Nick Garzee, Mariah Garzee, Addyson Ford and Alexa Johnson; three brothers, William (Vicky) Whiteman of Wee-Ma-Tuk, IL, Gerry (Bob) Whiteman of Pensacola, FL, and Calvin (Bernie) Whiteman of Canton, IL; two half-brothers, Richard and Jeff Whiteman; one half-siter, Sabrina Beasley; four nieces, Tracy, Mary, Debbie, and Peyton; and two nephews, Billy and Greyson.

She worked at Graham Hospital as a supervisor in the dietary department for twenty plus years.
