Barbara A. Reese

Barbara A. Reese, 74, of Glasford, passed away at 5:58 pm, Tuesday, July 4, 2023 at Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria. She was born on January 8, 1949 in Peoria to Wayne and Elizabeth B. (Johnson) Englebrecht.

Surviving are three sons; C. Larry Reese of Pekin, Jerry Reese of Glasford and David (Shelby) Reese of Pekin, seven brothers; Jim Englebrecht of Peoria, Ronnie Engelbrecht, Danny Englebrecht, Randy Englebrecht, Steve Englebrecht, Mike Englebrecht and Donnie Englebrecht all of Pekin, five grandchildren; Trevor Reese, Colin Reese, Brody Reese, Dawson Reese and Meghan Reese.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Miller, parents, two brothers; Wayne and David Englebrecht, one sister Connie Brackett and one granddaughter Ashley Reese.

Barbara loved to play softball and volleyball with friends, planting flowers, drawing, riding ATV’s, mushroom hunting, reading, talking politics and going on nature walks. She especially loved to spend time with her family during breakfast or lunch dates.

Graveside services will be 2 pm Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at Lancaster Cemetery in Glasford. Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton is in charge of arrangements. Memorials can be made to the Greater Peoria Honor Flight. To leave online condolences, please visit www.oakshinesfuneralhome.com.
