She was born October 9, 1927 at Ray, IL; the daughter of Lester and Ethel (Moore) Jones. She married Willard L. Weber on March 28, 1947 at Fairview. He died February 14, 2011. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two sons, one step son, and ten siblings. Surviving are three children, Charles (Dixie) Jones of Abingdon, Shirley (Dennis) Irwin of Lewistown, and Rosemary (Rick) Henderson of Bryant, one sister, Ruth Lillie of Cuba, eleven grandchildren, and twenty three great grandchildren, twenty two great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mildred worked in the laundry department at the former Clarytona Manor of Lewistown, the Admiral Corporation of Galesburg, the Canton Overall Factory, and Kinnamon’s 24 hour of Lewistown. She was a member of the Ozark Mountain Christian Church in Merriam Woods, MO; and a former member of the Illinois Street Christian Church in Lewistown. Mildred was also a former member of the Lewistown VFW ladies auxiliary. She enjoyed traveling, playing games, crafting, dancing, and gardening.
Cremation will be accorded. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday July 14th at the Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown with Reverend Brant Reed officiating. Burial of Mildred’s and Willard’s ashes will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lewistown. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the memorial home.
