Randall "Randy" McCain

Randall “Randy” McCain, 56, of Manito, passed away Thursday afternoon, July 6, 2023 at Mason District Hospital in Havana. He was born September 11, 1966 in Vandalia, Il to Marjorie Hipsher McCain and the late Morris McCain.

Randy was a 1984 graduate of Moweaqua (IL) High School and of Illinois Wesleyan University, were he ran track for the Titans. He was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and the Phoenix Cardinals. He loved Fighting Illini football and basketball. In his spare time he enjoyed playing golf.
He was employed by Caterpillar as a Parts Supervisor.
Randy is survived by his two children whom he adored and loved with all of his heart, Andrew McCain and Jordan McCain, both of Manito, his mother, Marjorie McCain, a brother, Scott (Charlotte) McCain, of Pittsboro, IN, a sister, Angie (Randy) Grigg, of Decatur, nephew, Dr.Travis (Ruthie) McCain, of Indianapolis, niece, Erica (Ben) Taylor, of Decatur, IL, and the mother of his two children, Michelle Martin, of Manito.
In addition to his father, Morris McCain, he was preceded in death by a nephew, Kyle McCain.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at 12:00 pm (noon) at the Maas-Hurley Funeral Home, in Manito. The Rev. Steven Cantrell will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral starting at 11:00 am. Following the service cremation rites will be accorded.
Memorial Donations may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
