Leigh Ann Dissman

Leigh Ann Dissman, 88, of Havana, formerly of Sebring, Florida, passed away at Mason District Hospital, in Havana, at 12:33 p.m., on Saturday, July 22, 2023. She was born July 20, 1935, in Cuba, Illinois, to Dale E. and Lila (Hooper) Henderson. She married George Pat Dissman on April 3, 1955, at Sinnett Chapel, near Cuba, Illinois. They were married for sixty-seven years, until his death in 2022.

Mrs. Dissman is survived by three children: Linda (Bill) Blessman, of Havana, Greg (Linda) Dissman, of Woodstock, Georgia, and Tina (Rex) Parker, of Goshen, Indiana; as well as seventeen grandchildren and twenty-four great-grandchildren. Also surviving are three siblings: Marvin (Hazel) Henderson, of Smithfield, Illinois, Darlene White, of Marietta, Illinois, and Dale Allen (Marilyn) Henderson, of Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter, Nancy (Darrell) Pomeroy; sisters: Doris (Larry) Weaver and Donna (John) Shaw, as well as brother-in-law, Kay White.

Mrs. Dissman was a Registered Nurse, at Mason District Hospital, in Havana, for many years. She enjoyed sewing and knitting, as well as spending time with her family. The Dissman’s owned and operated Aluminum Specialties Company, in Havana, for many years.

A memorial service will be held at Hurley Funeral Home, in Havana, on Saturday, July 29, 2023, at 2:00 p.m., with visitation one hour prior to the services. Burial will follow the services at Henderson Cemetery, near Cuba.
