Gearl Richardson

Banner- Gearl Richardson, 65, of Banner, passed away at 5:19 PM on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at Graham Hospital Emergency Room in Canton. He was born on November 2, 1957 in Lincoln, a son of Charles and Marjorie (Montgomery) Richardson. He married Lisa Vaughn on February 14, 1976 in Mapleton. She survives.

Also surviving are his two sons, Joshua (Shaunna) Richardson of Canton; Jacob Richardson of Banner; two grandsons, Parker and Connor Richardson, and one brother, Gordon (April) Richardson of Canton.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Pamela Burroughs, and Paula Richardson.

Gearl worked for Cook Polymer Technology in Canton since 2012, last working on Tuesday, June 27, 2023. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed being with his two grandsons.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Thursday, July 6, 2023, at Sedgwick Funeral Homes and Crematory in Canton, where a funeral services will be held at 7:00 PM. Rev. Kevin VanTine will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Fulton County Humane Society or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
