Patricia Webb

Patricia Anne (Dornberger) Webb, 83, of Glasford IL, went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 19, 2024 at Red Oak Memory Care in Canton IL.

Born on September 5th, 1941 to the late Jay and Mabel (Dunker) Dornberger.

She married her high school sweetheart Thomas A. Webb on December 22, 1961. They were married almost 63 years.

Surviving are her three daughters, Cheryl (Kenny) Hoepker, Bloomington, IL, Carol (Craig Holthaus) Webb Holthaus, Canton, IL, and Sandy (Jon Hayen) Webb, Bloomington, IL and two granddaughters Megan and Allison Hoepker, one brother James V. Dornberger, Chandler AZ and one nephew, James (Debby) Dornberger II of Canton.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Pat was a graduate of Timber Township High School and Methodist School of Nursing. She was a registered nurse. Her nursing career spanned over 40 years. She worked in Bloomington IL, Canton IL, St Charles MO and Alton IL. She enjoyed clinical nursing in obstetrics the most.

Pat was a loving Christian daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother and friend. She had a caring nurses’ heart which showed in the support and nurture she showed others. She enjoyed flower gardening with a specialty in growing violets. She also loved to sew, quilt, craft and was an avid Nascar fan together with her husband.

Cremation rites have been accorded through Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton.

A memorial funeral service will be held at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glasford IL on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at 11:30 a.m. with visitation from 9:30am-11:30am at the church. A burial of the ashes will be held at Maple Ridge Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glasford Il or to the Dementia Society of America.

Mary E. Riegel

Mary E. Riegel, 88, of Canton, passed away at 10:15 AM on Friday, December 20, 2024 at Graham Hospital in Canton, IL. She was born on December 26, 1935 in Canton, IL, to Vencil and Marjorie (Smith) Franciskovich. She married Kenneth Riegel on November 16, 1973 in Canton, IL. He preceded her in death.

She is also preceded in death by her parents and one brother, James Franciskovich.

Mary is survived by three brothers, Vancil, John, and Paul Franciskovich.

Mary worked and retired from the City of Canton Water Department. She graduated from Canton High School in 1954. She was also of Catholic Faith.

Brandi Nicole "Nikki" Garmon

Brandi Nicole Garmon, 44, of Havana passed away at 12:33 p.m. on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at Mason District Hospital in Havana. She was born on August 20, 1980 in Pekin, Illinois. She married Clifford Garmon II on August 20, 2019.

Brandi is survived by her husband; children, Audrey Garmon of Kansas, Sierra Dawn Garmon of Kilbourne, Emily Garmon of Bloomington, Kaylee Garmon of Kincaid, and Joseph Jett of Havana; parents, Kenneth and Cindy Gilmore; granddaughter, Aliza and two more expected soon; brother, Kenneth Gilmore; step-siblings, Neil Bailey and Dustin Bailey; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Danny Gilmore.
Brandi worked as a caregiver for most of her life. She loved to fish, go for walks, and go camping. She liked flowers and arranging them. Brandi especially enjoyed spending time with her friends and family and helping people in need.
Cremation rites have been accorded and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Lisa Schrodt

Lisa Schrodt, 61, of Canton, passed away on December 19,2024 at her residence with her husband by her side. She was born on July 9, 1963 in Macomb to Jim and Carole (Tinkham) Weder. Lisa married Donald “Donnie” Schrodt on December 24, 2003 in Norris, IL. he survives along with her parents of Winchester, two daughters; Teri (Joe Watson) Schrodt and Lindsey Dworak both of Canton, one brother Timothy (Tonya) Weder of Jacksonville, one grandson Sylas Dworak, sister-in-law Romelle Clauson, two brothers-in-law; John Schrodt and Jerry (Diane) Schrodt, aunts, uncles and cousins along with her special lifelong friend Jean Burkhead and co-worker Nancy Johns.

Lisa was preceded in death by paternal grandparents Roy and Mary Weder, maternal grandparents Albert and Florence Tinkham, and in-laws Cappy Schrodt and Louise and Bud Cox.

Lisa graduated from Canton High School, Spoon River College and received her B.A. in Psychology at Sangamon State University. She made her career in Long Term Care in several roles such as Social Service Director, Business Office Manager, Regional Bookkeeper and Human Resource Director.

Lisa had a lifelong love of swimming and was an avid Green Bay Packer’s Fan. Her biggest joys in life were spending time playing cards and listening to music with Donnie and giving her love to her fur babies; Molly, Wofie, Packer and Spooky.

The family would like to thank Dr. Ben Phillips and OSF Hospice R.N. Heather “Red”, C.N.A.’s Bree and Angie, caregiver Penny and devoted family members.

Her love was shared with her dedicated husband Donnie, her selfless father James, and her brother Tim, along with a group of dear friends.

Barbara Roll

Barbara Roll passed away peacefully surrounded by family December 17th, after a brave battle with Alzheimer’s. She was born June 10, 1928, and was 96 when she went home to be with the Lord. She was preceded in death by her parents Walter and Opal Milleson, her sister Sue Touchett, her beloved husband of 56 years Bradley Roll, and her daughter Linda Ritchie.

Barbara was a loving mother to her three children, Linda Ritchie (Bruce), Judy Roll (Richard Lipscomb) and Steve Roll (Katherine). She dearly loved her grandchildren Michael Ritchie (Lisa), Doug Ritchie (Marie), Todd Wise and Anthony Wise (Danica) as well as her seven great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren. Barbara made birthdays and holiday celebrations so very special for her family. Our fondest memories revolve around being together, especially at Christmas time. We shared, laughed, looked at family pictures, reminisced, and created new special moments that became precious memories we treasure forever. Our family is a circle of love and strength, and the family traditions she created have carried on through our generations of love.

Barbara was blessed with so many lifelong friendships. She valued each and every one, and loyally stayed connected across the years and miles. The phone was her favorite lifeline.

She loved movies, music and reading. Her favorite movies included Gone with the Wind and The Wizard of Oz. She often described the moment of seeing color in a motion picture for the first time when Dorothy opened the door. Her favorite songs included “Always,” which was her and Bradley’s special song, and “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” by Judy Garland with whom she shared the same birthday of June 10th.

Barbara worked for years in retail and as a receptionist at Clermont Medical Center in Clermont, Florida. She was an active member at Woodlands Lutheran Church in Montverde, Florida, where she was a charter member.

A graveside service led by Rev. Gary Sheets will be held Monday, December 23rd, at 11 am at Mount Zion Primitive Baptist Cemetery in Astoria, Illinois. A Celebration of Life will be planned in the new year.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial contribution to the Alzheimer’s Foundation, a hospice care provider or the Woodlands Lutheran Church in Montverde, Florida.

Everyone who knew Barbara is aware she loved cardinals and believed they appear when loved ones are near. We hope the next time you see a cardinal you think of her.

Patsy A. Morse

Patsy A. Morse, 89, of Brimfield, passed away at 9:40 p.m., Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.

She was born February 26, 1935, in Peoria, to Willis and Edna Harkrider. Patsy married Genie Morse. He preceded her in death in 1994.

Patsy is survived by three children, Steven (Tracy) VanWinkle of Utah, Debra (Richard) Payne of Brimfield, and Brenda (Steve) Hunter of Montana; one brother, Donald Thrush; two sisters, Pamela Cowper and Roberta “Kay” (Jack) Quinn; one sister-in-law, Luan Thrush; nine grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Patsy is also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Richard “Dick” Thrush and Michael Thrush; and one sister, Karen Van Gulick.

Patsy graduated from Manual High School in 1953. She was a legal secretary for 51 years; she worked her last 16 years at Kavanaugh Law Firm in Peoria where she retired from in 2013.

Cremation rites have been accorded.

Bernard Shoop

Bernard K. Shoop, 82, of Dunfermline, formerly of Brimfield, passed away on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at Richard Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.

He was born on May 17, 1942 in Canton to Keith and Wilma (Crowl) Shoop.

He married Shirley Howerter on December 31, 1961 in Canton. She survives.

Also surviving are his children, Craig (Tina) Shoop of Canton, Lisa (Delbert) Davis of Yates City, Amy (Daniel) Downard of Pekin, two sisters, Shirley Canevit of Canton, Ann Horner of Canton, twelve grandchildren and twenty -three great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandchild.

Bernard worked for Illinois Bell for 27 years and later for Wieland’s Lawn Mower Hospital in Peoria. He was a member of the Brimfield Men’s Club. In his spare time, he enjoyed Bowling, Golfing, gardening and watching old Westerns.

A visitation will be held on Monday, December 23, 2024, from 4-7pm at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton. There will be no funeral service. Cremation rites have been accorded.
