JoAnn Hagen

JoAnn Hagen, 90, of Canton, passed peacefully into her Savior's arms Friday April 4th at the Clayberg Nursing Home in Cuba Il. She was born March 5th 1935 to Marjorie Sheply, being one of the first successful cesarean births at Graham Hospital JoAnn was born in the heart of The Great Depression and was always surrounded by her loving parents and Grandparents, Aunts and Uncles in their large home. Her parents, Marge and Robert Wilcoxen and brother Thomas Wilcoxen preceded her in death.

JoAnn married Louis Hagen on Jan.18th 1953. He preceded her in death Jan 2009. They had 3 children, Stephen (Wendy) Hagen, Susan (Fred) Duquenne of Canton and Stacy (Joseph) Tomich of Rushville. They survive. Also surviving are 4 grandchildren- Dustin Duquenne, Jacob Duquenne, Zachary Welker, Mandy Tomich One granddaughter, Heather Tomich preceded them in death in 2001. Also surviving are 18 Great-Grandchildren.

JoAnn and Louie spent most vacations camping with the whole family and several other family friends; leaving us with many great memories. Later in life they had some great adventures of their own, traveling all around America.

JoAnn was a strong Christian woman her entire life. She was a 42 year member of the Church of the Brethren in Canton and then later a member of South Park United Methodist Church for over 40 years.

JoAnn was a homemaker until her youngest child started school. She eventually retired from Caterpillar Tractor in 1995.

A funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at the Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton at 2pm with a visitation held one hour prior at the funeral home.

Burial will follow at the Greenwood Cemetery in Canton.
