Lawrence A. Douglas

Canton-Lawrence Arnold "Larry" Douglas, 90, of Canton, went to be with his lord and savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, December 8, 2022.

He was born to Frank and Gladys (Millard) Douglas on November 13, 1932.
He was preceded in death by his father and stepmother, Frank and Florence Douglas, and his mother and stepfather, Gladys, and John Kohler. He was also preceded in death by an infant sister Joan Douglas, and one grandson Jacob Bradley Bishop. Surviving is the love of his life, his wife, Barbara (Ginger) Douglas, whom he married on January 19, 1996.
Also surviving are four daughters, Susan Evans, Laurie Palmer, Jennifer (Joe) Kirby, and Tammy McNeal, nine grandchildren, Darren, Tiffiney, Tarah, Madison, DeShawn, Alexes, Kayla, LaTonya, and Joshua, and nine great - grandchildren.
Larry is a Veteran of the United States Navy. He served during the Korean Conflict from 1952 until 1956. He last worked as an independent contractor at Eglin Air Force Base in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. Larry enjoyed playing cards with his grandchildren, golfing and shooting pool. Most of all Larry enjoyed spending time with his family.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A burial with Military Honor's will be held at Greenwood Cemetery in Canton on Thursday, December 15, 2022 at 1 pm. Memorials may be made to the family.
