Eva Lou White

Ellisville- Eva Lou White, 85, of rural Ellisville, passed away at 7:15 AM on Sunday, November 28, 2021 at Farmington County Manor, Farmington, IL. She was born on November 13, 1936 to Dick and Minnie (Strode) Shields. She married Marvin L. White on June 6,1954 in Cuba, IL. He preceded his wife in death on January 1, 2019.


Surviving are five children, Victoria (Tim) Harper of Vermont, IL; Michael (Roberta) White of Cuba, IL; Christina (Mark) Werland of Smithfield, IL; Cynthia (Jon) La Salle of Canton, IL and Bruce White of Ellisville, IL seven grandchildren, Eric, Christopher, Marcus, Martin, Marlana, Misty, C.R. and eight great-grandchildren; Kasi, Kandace, Austin, Andrew, Clayton, Casey, Colton, and Maci; several nieces and nephews; and she is also survived by two siblings.

Eva was preceded in death by her parents.

Eva grew up in Cuba and moved to Ellisville when she married the love of her life whom she was married to for over 65 years. She and her husband farmed in Ellisville for many years. She loved to travel, especially Hawaii. Eva donated to several charities throughout her lifetime. She will be loved and missed by her family and friends.

Per Eva’s wishes, there will be no services. Cremation rites will be accorded with Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory in Canton, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. Jude Research and the American Cancer Society. To make online condolences you may go to www.sedgwickfuneralhomes.com
