Canton - Helen Eileen Stees, 96, of Canton, passed away Sunday, June 13, 2021 at Sunset Manor in Canton. She was born on November 27, 1924, in San Jose, Illinois, to Herman and Lavina (Allard) Meins. They preceded her in death along with one brother Herman Arthur Meins and two infant sisters. She married Floyd L. Stees on May 7, 1946, in Kansas City Missouri. He preceded her in death on March 29, 2016. She is survived by two children, Don Stees of Lake of the Ozarks Missouri, and Patty (Jim) Windish of Elmwood Illinois, four grandchildren, Angie (Kevin) Tippey, Brett (Jasmin) Stees, Dr. Ryan (Gia) Windish, and Tiffany (Simon) Grimm and four great grandchildren, Pierson Stees, Jack Tippey, Kiowa Windish, and Teddy Stees. Eileen was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Canton, she worked at Graham Hospital and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary where she was a past President. Private family graveside services will be held at Prairie Rest Cemetery in Delevan. Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church in Canton.
