Billie T. Childers, 87, of Adair passed away Tuesday February 2, 2021 at Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Iowa City, Iowa.
He was born September 3, 1933 at Lewistown the son of Jesse and Mildred (Henderson) Childers. He married Nadine Wheeler on March 10, 1962 at Canton. She died October 2, 2001. He was also preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and two sisters.
Surviving are one daughter, Billie J. (Randy) Ketcham of Macomb, and one grandson, Christopher Christian of Colchester.
Billie was a farmer and later worked at NTN Bower Corporation in Macomb retiring in 2000. He was a US Army veteran serving during the Korean War.
Billie enjoyed gardening and fixing things around the house. He was always willing to help those in need.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM Monday at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lewistown where a military service will be conducted by the Lewistown VFW Post 5001 and the Lewistown American Legion Bishop Post 1. There will be no visitation.
Memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s choice.
