Georgia L. Stambaugh


Cuba- Georgia L. Stambaugh, 86, of Cuba, passed away at 12:42 AM Wednesday February 6, 2019 at her home.

She was born September 24, 1932 in Canton, the daughter of George and Mable (Gray) Mason. She married Charles B. “Red” Stambaugh on Novemb! er 19, 1949. He preceded her in death on February 11, 1984. She was also preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Don, Blake, and Clyde Mason, and two sisters, Charlotte Taylor and Lena Mae Franklin. Survivors include two children, Jim (Penny) Stambaugh of Cuba, and Nancy (Bob) Thomson of Cuba, four grandchildren, Jamey Ford, Stacey (Chris) Warren, Misty (Toshio) VanMiddlesworth, and Jerod (Dawn) Stambaugh, one step grandson, Daniel (Marshell) Thomson, five great grandchildren, Jordan Ford, Hannah Warren, Matthew Warren, Marriah VanMiddleswoth, and Cooper Stambaugh, and two step great grandchildren, Hayden and Bryan Thomson.

Georgia retired from the former Day & Palin IGA where she worked as a runner for the stores. She enjoyed reading, taking walks, and making homemade noodles. She was a caregiver to family and friends, and was loved by everyone. She loved hummingbirds, frogs and nature in general, but most of all she loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Services will be held at 12:00 Noon Saturday at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Cuba where visitation will be held two hours prior to the service. Burial will be in Cuba Cemetery. To view Georgia’s life tribute video or to send condolences visit henrylange.com
