Canton – Melba J. Kumer, 89, of Canton, passed away on Monday, August 31, 2015, at Graham Hospital in Canton.
She was born on February 7, 1926 in Canton to Arthur and Ethel Murphy. They preceded her in death.
She married Edward “Terry” Kumer in 1941. He preceded her in death on June 24, 2008.
She is survived by her children, Karen (Roy) Sizor of Tucson AZ., Edward (Judy) Kumer of Cumming Ga., Mark (Marcella) Kumer of Tucson, AZ., Shane (Heather) Kumer of Canton, Sisters, Peggy McWhorter, Marlyn Henderson, Judy Oliver, Penny Wolfe, sixteen grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death are one daughter Debbie Howerton, bothers, William, Chuck, Wally and Art Pollitt, and sister, Betty Bayless.
Melba worked at Renaissance Care Center in Canton for 28 years.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
Per Melba’s wishes, there will be no services. Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton is in charge of arrangements.
