Fairview -
Timothy “T.J.” Sutherland, 23, of Fairview passed away at 11:32 AM Wednesday,
May 6, 2015 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria.
He was born
August 23, 1991 in Rogers, AR to Sherman “Sonny” L. Sutherland Jr. and
Christina (Merriman) Seward.
Surviving
are his father of Fairview; his mother of Lincoln, AR; grandparents, Sherman L.
(Dorothy) Sutherland Sr. of Fairview and David Merriman of Independence, KS;
great grandma, Margaret A. Sutherland of Rogers, AR; two brothers, Gary L.
Sutherland of Pea Ridge, AR and Patrick Seward of Prairie Grove, AR; one
sister, Jenna Seward of Prairie Grove, AR; his aunts and uncles, Dawn (Jim)
Record of Farmington, IL, Jamey (Charity) Sutherland of Houston, TX, Jon
Sutherland of St. Louis, Amos (Courtney) Sutherland of Macomb, Rick Merriman of
Springfield, MO, D.J. Merriman and Jacob Merriman both of Pierce City, MO; and
numerous cousins.
He was
preceded in death by his grandmother, Cheryl Merriman.
He worked at
Keystone Steel and Wire Company as a fork truck operator, and previously worked
two years as a cook at Chipotle in Peoria.
He was a
member of Farmington First Baptist Church, Farmington, AR.
T.J. loved
football and was an avid Eagles fan. He could quote stats dating back into the
1970’s.
He
was also
an avid gamer and collected Dragon Ball Z and Teenage Mutant Ninja
Turtles memorabilia. He would do anything to try to get a laugh
from people.
In hopes to
help others, T.J. was an organ and tissue donor.
Services
will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at Anderson-Sedgwick Funeral
Home, Farmington. Curt Lipe will
officiate. Visitation will be held at
the funeral home Monday, May 11 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. Cremation rites will be accorded following
the service.
Memorials
may be made to Farmington Rescue 1100 or the St.Francis Neurological ICU.
