Surviving are her children, William Dewester of Yates City; Tammy DeWester of West Burlington, IA; Bonnie Croskey of Canton; Terri DeWester of Galesburg; Rebecca DeWester of West Burlington, IA; nine grandchildren, and fifteen great-grandchildren; brothers, Roger Young of Peoria; Clayton Mac Young of Missouri; sisters, Cynthia Hamm of Canton; Phyllis Blaylock of Peoria, and the grandchildren whom had a special place in her heart, Haley (Brandon) Mosley, Stephanie (Kristopher) Stevenson, Tre DeWester, and Katherine ( Jose Pacheco) DeWester.

Sandra worked and retired from Renaissance Care Center in Canton after 34 years, retiring in 2009. She loved to watch people and birds, enjoyed going camping, but most of all, was the time spend with her family.
Per Sandra’s wishes, there will be no services at this time, cremation rites will be accorded through Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory. A celebration of life gathering will be held at a later date.
