He was born on December 25, 1963 in Peoria to Wesley and Lorene (Bowers) Ragan. They preceded him in death.
Surviving is his brother, Andrew (Carol) Ragan of Smithfield, two sisters, Connie Ragan of East Peoria, Elaine Manuel of Arkansas and his brother-in-law, Bruce Brown.
Also preceding him in death are two sisters, Amanda Brown and Edna Wacker.
John was the owner and operator of Spoon River Machining and Fabrication in Cuba.
Cremation rites have been accorded through Oaks-Hines Funeral Home and Crematory in Canton. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
