PHyllis A. Bennett

Phyllis A. Bennett, 72, of Elmwood, passed away at 4:44 p.m., on Friday, August, 16, 2024, at Graham Hospital in Canton, surrounded by her loving family.

Phyllis was born May 15, 1952, in Peoria, to Raymond and Gladys (Boggs) Emerick.

Phyllis is survived by two children, Stephen Bennett of Bryant, IL, and Dustin Emerick of Indianapolis, IN; one brother, Raymond Emerick; three sisters, Linda (Dan) Dray, Barb Bratton, and Betty Hall; three grandchildren, Nicholas Hidden, Lindsey Wilson, and Jason Brownlee; and six great-grandchildren.

Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Karen Meyer.

Cremation rites have been accorded.  A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m., on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Elmwood. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  A burial of Phyllis's ashes will be held at Elmwood Township Cemetery at a later date. 

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
