She was born on July 6, 1952, in Rock Island, Illinois, to John D., and Geneva (Larue) Deweese. They preceded her in death.
RoxAnne is survived by her husband of 30 years, Frederick Mitchell. They married on May 24, 1993.
Also surviving are eleven children, Ryan Mithcell, Danielle Mitchell, Michael Mitchell, Geneva Mitchell, Fredeleana Mitchell, Malachi Mitchell, Emily Mitchell, Brandy Stevens, Angel (Keith) Lawrence, Steve (Alaina) Lawrence, and Candice (Dr. Jim) Latour, one brother, Curt Deweese, one sister Janine Deweese, twelve grandchildren, and six great grandchildren with one more on the way.
Also preceding her in death is one son Shawn Mitchell, and a brother John David Deweese.
RoxAnne previously worked at Dixion State Hospital in Dixon Illinois and was also a licensed beautician. Roxanne volunteer for the Crisis Hotline in Peoria for many eras, and was awarded a certificate of adherence from the Salvation Army. Her and her husband were also foster parents for numerous years. RoxAnne dedicated her life to her family, raising and caring for her children and grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on, Monday May 13, 2024 at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton at 3:00 p.m. Visitation will be held at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
A graveside burial of ashes will be held at White Chapel memory Gardens on, Tuesday May 14, 2024 at 11:00 a.m.
