He was born October 23, 1977 at Canton the son of Dennis H. and Kimberly (Rogers) Martin. He married Anita Hanson and they later separated. His life partner was Angela Shannon of Canton. Surviving are his mother, Kimberly Rogers of Marquette Heights, two children, Emma Martin and Matthew Martin both of Lacon, two brothers, his twin Jason (Patti) Martin of Canton, and Joseph Martin of Marquette Heights, four sisters, Kimberly Martin of Rochelle, Misty Martin of Portland, OR; and twins Parish Rogers of Florida, and Demi Ziegenbein of Morton. He was preceded in death by his father, grandparents, Albert H. and Pauline Martin, one sister, Tracey Martin, and a niece, Natalynne Martin.
James worked Union Construction with Local 231 and then was a foreman with Pioneer Railroad. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and cooking. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and Chicago Bears fan. Family was very important to him.
