She was born on October 8, 1948 to Leroy Jr., and Georgia “Pat” Burgett. Gloria was a graduate of VIT. She worked for many years at Graham Hospital in the billing department.
She married David Shaffer on February 4th, 1967. He preceded her in death.
Her parents and her beloved brother, Neil, also preceded her in death.
Surviving are her children, Jon (Melinda) Shaffer and Tonya Snyder. Jon’s daughters, Bryanna and Lia. Tonya’s children, Jordan, Tyler and Eleanor. As well as, Bryanna’s children, Bronson, Addalyn and Isabella.
Gloria enjoyed chatting with friends and family, trips to Walmart and car rides.
She has now been reunited with her parents and brother.
She tried her best to fight her cancer, but ultimately chose to be comfortable until her passing.
A graveside service will be held at Waterford Cemetery on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at 10:00 a.m.
