He was born on, February 21, 1948, in Pekin, to Jack and Verna (Hill) Eastman. He married Margaret “Sue” (Lash), on November 7, 1970 in Normandale. She preceded him in death on February 19, 2010.
Archie is survived by his daughter, Tracy (Jim) Lyons of Topeka, one brother, Terry (Sunsha) Parks of Pueblo Colorado, two sisters, Jackie (Herb) Hall, and Pat (Kevi) Jeannotte both of St. Johns North Dakota, Seven grandchildren, Dalton (Liz) Devall of Jacksonville Illinois, Logan (Paige) Devall of Roberts Illinois, Zane Eatman of Champaign Illinois, Aaron Eastman of Pennsylvania, Jack Eastman III of Watseka Illinois, and Kaleb (Kara) Eastman of Ohio, Three great grandchildren, Olivia Grace, Isabella Lynn, and Douglas Raye.
Preceding Archie in death are his parents, a son Jack Eastman II, one granddaughter, Kourtni Eastman, and one brother Robert Parks.
Archie was in the United States Army from 1966 – 1970 serving in Vietnam in 1968 – 1967. He was part of the 101st Airborne Division and the 82nd Airborne Division.
He worked for Corn Products then went to work at Chanute Air Force Base in Rantoul Illinois, then Incobrasa in Gilman Illinois. He retired in 2003.
In his free time, he enjoyed going to the arcade in Paxton to see his buddy, Scott. Most of all he loved spending time going for rides and being with his daughter and grandchildren.
Archie was an amazing Dad and Grandpa, and he will be missed terribly.
Cremation rites will be accorded with Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton.
