He was born in Canton, to Charles and Bonnie (Standard) Wells. They preceded him in death as well as his maternal and paternal grandparents and his uncle Leroy Wells.
He is survived by his son Joel Otto Wells, two sisters Crystal (John Patouhas) Wells, and Terri (Christopher) Eakins, and one aunt Sharon Wells.
Eric last worked at Pella Windows in Macomb. He is a Veteran of the United States Army. He served in Iraq and Afghanistan as a diesel mechanic. Eric enjoyed camping, fishing, shooting pool and darts, and tinkering on cars in his free time.
A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday May 23, 2024 at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. A burial with military honors will takes place at 2:00 p.m. on Friday at White Chapel Memory Gardens in Canton.
