Born on May 23, 1942, in LaCrosse, Arthur was the beloved son of the late John and Barbara Halverson. It was through his family’s A&W Root Beer Stand that he met the love of his life, Phyllis — a meeting that marked the beginning of a lifelong partnership filled with love, laughter, and family.
Arthur is survived by his devoted wife, Phyllis, and their three children: Eric (Bobbi), Chris (April), and Jeff (Cappi). He was a proud grandfather to nine grandchildren and a cherished great-grandfather to three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Julie (John), of LaCrescent, Minnesota and several nieces and nephews.
Arthur will be remembered not only for his deep love for his family, but also for his quick wit and wonderful sense of humor. He had a gift for making people laugh and never missed an opportunity to lighten the mood with a well-timed joke or a clever one-liner. His warmth, humor, and easygoing nature made him a joy to be around and a friend of many.
A true Wisconsinite, Arthur was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and rarely missed a game. He also found great joy in golfing, a pastime that brought him both relaxation and camaraderie over the years.
Arthur will be remembered for his easygoing nature, his loyalty to the people he loved, and the quiet strength he carried throughout his life. His presence will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
Cremation rites will be accorded.
